Ye Lin and Hu Liena exchanged a glance, then stood up from the table and walked towards the hall door.

Ye Lin pushed open the hall door, stepped aside to let Hu Liena go out first, then followed behind her and closed the door.

The door closed behind the two people, leaving only Bibi Dong and Yu Xiaogang in the room, still drinking.

Ye Lin and Hu Liena left the room and walked along the corridor.

Hu Liena walked half a step ahead, occasionally turning her head to point in a direction.

The Spirit Hall was much quieter at night than during the day.

The lights under the corridor lit up one by one, and the shadows of the two people grew shorter and longer under the light, constantly alternating.

She gestured with her chin towards the path to the left. "That's the Worship Hall. The high-ranking officials usually cultivate there. Don't go that way unless you have to; they have rather bad tempers."

She turned her head slightly to the right, towards the road.

"That's the Douluo Hall over there. Inside hang portraits of past Pope, and Titled Douluo who died on the continent are Douluo Hall there. It's the symbol of the Spirit Hall."

Ye Lin nodded and kept those words in mind.

The two walked along a path and arrived at the edge of an open square.

Hu Liena sat down on a stone step at the edge of the square, and Ye Lin sat down next to her.

The two men's shoulders were very close, with only a fist's width between them.

Ye Lin turned his head and glanced at her.

"Senior sister, your cultivation in the Spirit Hall must be very arduous, right?"

Hu Liena paused for a moment, then turned to look at Ye Lin's face, her brow twitching slightly.

Why would you ask that?

Ye Lin shifted his gaze from her face to the center of the square.

"I can tell you're much more relaxed now than you were at dinner."

"Your teacher's wife must be very strict with you; you must be having a very hard time."

Hu Liena fell silent.

Today was indeed a rare occasion to see the teacher smile, and smile so happily at that.

She sat on the stone steps, placed her hands on her knees, and let out a long sigh.

For so many years, everyone who knows she studied under the Pope has envied her.

Even her brother felt the same way, urging her to study diligently under His Holiness the Pope and never disappoint His Holiness the Pope.

But the first thing this junior brother, whom I met for the first time today, said was, "You must be having a very hard time."

Someone understands your feelings.

She suddenly realized that this junior brother was very different from the others.

She lowered her head and looked at her toes.

She spoke, her voice a little lower than before.

"My teacher is very good to me and is nurturing me well, so I must work hard and not let her down."

Ye Lin nodded, placed his hands on the stone steps behind him, and leaned back.

"Senior sister, you're too tired."

"You need to relax and rest; you're too tense."

Whether it's life or spiritual practice, a balance between work and rest is essential.

Hu Liena fell silent again.

Ye Lin turned his head to look at her, then adjusted his posture.

"If you don't mind, you can lean on my shoulder, but only this once."

Hu Liena was taken aback.

She turned her head to look at Ye Lin's face, then gently rested her head on his shoulder.

"Junior brother, thank you."

At that moment, she completely relaxed; her shoulders loosened, her hands relaxed, and even her breathing became lighter.

She closed her eyes, trying not to think about anything.

Ye Lin had a faint, pleasant fragrance mixed with the scent of herbs.

She leaned there quietly for a while, and suddenly, she felt a crack appear in the barrier that had been holding her back for so long.

She opened her eyes and looked at her hands.

The speed at which Soul Power surged through the meridians was significantly faster than before.

She's been stuck at level 49 for a long time, without breaking through.

But in that very instant, she broke through.

Level 50.

A slight smile curved her lips, and she silently murmured a phrase to herself.

"Junior brother, you're so kind."

Ye Lin sat quietly on the stone steps.

After a long while, he turned his head to look at Hu Liena and suddenly felt his heart skip a beat.

Hu Liena was still leaning on his shoulder, her long, white legs peeking out from under her skirt, shimmering in the moonlight.

The aura emanating from her was even stronger than before.

That alluring charm is hard to resist; the longer you stay, the more attracted you become.

Ye Lin felt his face turn slightly red.

He pulled his gaze away from her legs.

"Senior sister, you'd better tone down your charm, or I really won't be able to resist."

Hu Liena burst out laughing.

She straightened up from Ye Lin's shoulder, turned to the side, tilted her head to look at him, and blinked her eyes.

"Junior brother, are you really losing control?"

Ye Lin swallowed hard, turned his head away, and looked elsewhere, not daring to meet her eyes.

He silently recited a sentence in his heart.

"I consider my Spiritual Power to be strong enough, but it's still quite difficult in this situation."

Hu Liena reached out her hands, cupped his cheeks, and turned his head back.

The two locked eyes. Ye Lin looked into her eyes, his Adam's apple bobbing.

"Senior sister, if you keep going like this, I really can't hold on any longer."

Hu Liena didn't speak, she simply closed her eyes gently.

Ye Lin could no longer restrain himself. He wrapped one arm around her waist, pulling her into his embrace, and placed his other hand on the back of her head, running it through her hair.

He lowered his head and pressed his lips to hers.

When Yu Xiaogang and Bibi Dong came out of that small hall, they both walked unsteadily.

Bibi Dong walked ahead, her Purple-Gold Crown removed, her long hair draped over her shoulders, and her Scepter nowhere to be seen.

Yu Xiaogang walked beside her, his coat draped over his arm, the collar of his undershirt loose.

The two people walked through the corridor, turned two corners, and stopped in front of a wooden door.

Bibi Dong pushed open the door, stepped aside to let Yu Xiaogang go in first, then followed him in and closed the door behind her.

The bedroom was small, with a bed placed against the inner wall. Bibi Dong sat down on the edge of the bed, put her hands on her knees, and lowered her head, seemingly lost in thought.

Yu Xiaogang sat down next to her, casually tossed his coat aside, and reached out to pull her hand.

"Dong'er, you look so beautiful today."

Bibi Dong turned her head to look at him, "Xiaogang, you're the most handsome person I've ever seen."

Yu Xiaogang placed his hand on her shoulder and gently slipped the luxurious robe off her shoulders.

Bibi Dong's body stiffened for a moment, then slowly relaxed.

Her body moved in sync, allowing the robe to slip off her shoulders and fall to the ground.

Yu Xiaogang also took off his undergarments, and the two of them gradually removed their clothes one by one until they finally lay down on the bed.

Bibi Dong rested her head on his arm, her right hand on his chest.

"Xiaogang, I've been dreaming of this moment for so many years."

"Dong'er, me too."

At that moment, she suddenly froze.

She sat up slightly, her voice trembling.

"No, Xiaogang."

"I'm already tainted, I'm not good enough for you."

Yu Xiaogang hugged Bibi Dong from behind, placing his head on her shoulder.

"Dong'er, you're not tainted, you've just been thinking of me all along. You've just been loving me all along."

Bibi Dong lowered her head and looked down at herself.

"But I still feel dirty."

Yu Xiaogang gently pulled her back, making her lie on the bed.

"I'll clean it up for you."

Bibi Dong's face turned even redder.

She raised both hands and covered her face, unable to bear looking, her body trembling uncontrollably.
