Reversing fate: The end

"Hm?" A flicker of surprise and suspicion crossed Shimura Danzō's lone eye. Clearly, he had not expected this Uchiha brat to unleash ninjutsu of such power and nature.

But a moment later, that surprise gave way to even deeper contempt.

"An ant's futile struggle."

Sasuke Uchiha charged at Danzo with a brilliant, savage Chidori in his hand, throwing himself forward with a resolve to fight to the death!

Yet the gulf in their strength could not be crossed.

Shimura Danzō merely raised a hand and caught Sasuke's slender wrist with unerring precision! His crushing grip made Sasuke feel as though his bones were about to shatter. The Chidori in his hand gave a dying whine, its chakra scattering in an instant as the lightning went out.

With a casual fling, Shimura Danzō hurled Sasuke into the wall like a rag doll, before he crashed heavily to the floor.

Before he could struggle, a foot mercilessly stamped down on his chest. The tremendous pressure left him barely able to breathe, his ribs groaning under the strain.

Shimura Danzō looked down at him. His lone eye held no emotion, only the cold appraisal of a tool:

"Sasuke Uchiha, from this day forward, forget your identity. Forget your past. You will enter Root and become the sharpest blade in Konoha's darkness!"

"Brother!"

The unbearable pain and bitter irony nearly shattered Sasuke's mind.

He had thought he could change everything. Never had he imagined that, after giving everything he had, the greatest change he could achieve would be to send his brother, Itachi Uchiha, to an early grave!

He was wrong, horribly wrong! He didn't want this outcome! He didn't want to stay in a world where his brother was gone, his clan was destroyed, and he was about to become a living corpse!
