Passive spatial defense

Limitless divides the space between its user and an approaching object without end. Welt compares the effect to Zeno’s paradox: an attacker can approach but cannot complete the distance needed to make contact 15 24.

• Activates without a hand sign or incantation, stopping March 7th’s attempted hug and Xingbao’s grasp 15 26.
• Stops Herta’s puppet; its arm breaks on impact, while her attempts to probe the barrier produce no visible ripple 18.
• Halts a Silvermane Guard spear charge, bending and shattering the spears before they reach Su Chen 30.
• Can be dropped deliberately. Su Chen deactivates the barrier while staging Gojo’s submission to the Female Lord 19.

Environmental isolation

• Keeps water and dust away from Su Chen during an Astral Express spatial jump 22.
• Deflects snow and ice in Jarilo-VI’s blizzard 30.
• Prevents heat and cold from affecting him; Su Chen says his body remains at 26°C without winter clothing 27.

Resistance to analysis

• Himeko’s attempt to model the infinitely divided distance fails because her system cannot define the resulting spatial and mass parameters 21.
• Nous’s attempt to analyze the effect through the Astral Express’s Data Bank overwhelms its hardware. The servers burn out, ending the connection; the incident does not establish that Nous itself was harmed 24.

Offensive techniques

• Cursed Technique Lapse: Blue — Creates an immense gravitational field that crushes roughly a third of an Antimatter Legion fleet into a ball of wreckage 16.
• Hollow Technique: Purple — Combines Blue’s attraction with Red’s repulsion. Su Chen directs it through the station’s viewing window without damaging the glass, erasing an Antimatter Legion commander and roughly another third of the fleet while closing a Wormhole. Its recoil nearly knocks his small avatar over, and residual energy damages the station’s instruments 17.

Story Role

• Su Chen gains the Satoru Gojo avatar after opening a blind box with Shock Points. The fusion sharpens his perception and releases a burst of Cursed Energy in the VIP Lounge 13.
• Limitless first alarms the Astral Express crew when March cannot hug the child-sized avatar. Its protection later helps establish Gojo’s reputation as the Divine Court’s supposed Seventh Seat 15 19.
• After the battle at Herta Space Station, the technique remains active aboard the Express and on Jarilo-VI, repeatedly preventing ordinary contact with Su Chen 18 22 27 30.
• Su Chen eventually reveals that Gojo was one of his projections, not an independent Divine Court member 44.
