Background / History

Himeko arrives at Herta Space Station with the Astral Express crew during an Antimatter Legion attack. After finding the Doomsday Beast dead and Su Chen posing as the Imaginary Divine Court’s Fourth Seat, she thanks the “Female Lord” and invites her to the VIP Lounge. She continues to act as host despite Welt’s warning not to provoke their guest 3 5.

When Herta presses the Female Lord for access to her powers, Himeko steps between them, rebukes Herta’s discourtesy, and offers coffee to defuse the confrontation. Later, she accepts the Female Lord’s order that the Court’s Seventh Seat, Gojo, travel aboard the Express—even though she considers the powerful, unpredictable passenger a risk 8 20.

Aboard the train, Himeko reviews footage of Gojo’s attacks. Her attempts to model the spatial defense fail, and a separate analysis reports that the purple attack rewrote physical laws without a quantifiable energy exchange. The results deepen her fear of what the Divine Court could do to the Express. She nevertheless offers Gojo a winter coat before the crew lands on the freezing world of Jarilo-VI; Gojo refuses it, and an invisible barrier prevents her from setting it down nearby 21 27.

Appearance

Himeko is a red-haired woman who wears heeled footwear and, when preparing for Jarilo-VI, changes into thick-soled winter boots 3 27.

Personality

Himeko is courteous under pressure. She formally thanks the Female Lord, intervenes when Herta’s bargaining becomes confrontational, and offers Gojo a coat despite fearing her powers 3 8 27. She is also willing to fight: when the Legion’s fleet threatens the station, she takes her place beside Welt with a mechanical saw 16.

Her composure has limits. Gojo’s casual talk of finding people to fight leaves Himeko shaken and unable to sleep, but she responds by examining battle footage rather than abandoning the question of how Gojo’s abilities work 21.
