Background and History

Li Moqing arrived on the Spirit Source Continent three years before the system revealed itself. He witnessed Daoist Qi suffer a fatal defeat and accepted the dying cultivator’s spatial ring and request to notify his sect. Because Qi’s message was cut short, Li could not identify the sect despite asking around; he continued to visit Qi’s unmarked grave 1.

The Disciple-Recruiting Fabrications into Reality System eventually bound itself to Li, granting him ten-star spiritual aptitude and an illusory realm. He chose to establish a sect rather than depend on an existing one. After Zhang Qingping and his son believed his account of the Heavenly Mist Sect, Li’s invented sect and its location, Misttrace Valley, became real. Zhang Xingfeng became his first personal disciple 1 2 3.

Li subsequently recruited Dongfang Muxue and Chen Guyu as personal disciples, admitted Lü Liu as an attendant disciple, and brought Mo Lingyuan into the sect as Reception Elder. His disciples’ belief helped turn his claims about cultivation resources, techniques, and sect facilities into reality 7 10 18 21.

Appearance

Li has a youthful appearance that causes others to question how he could be a sect master 7 13.

Personality

Li maintains a calm, authoritative manner in front of his disciples while privately calculating how to support and protect the sect. Early on, he asks the Zhangs to keep its existence secret because its impressive buildings conceal a lack of defenders. He also seeks an apprenticeship gift when he has only two Gold Yuan left 3.

He adapts his teaching to his disciples’ needs: he creates a path for Xingfeng to awaken spiritual awareness, looks for a way to improve Xingfeng’s and Lü Liu’s spiritual intelligence, and gives Guyu healing pills and a place to recover. He also believes hardship can test a prospective cultivator’s resolve, refusing to interrupt Lü Liu’s day-long meditation despite Muxue’s concern 4 11 16 18.

Fabrications into Reality

Li’s system can make an invented claim real when the relevant disciple believes it; a claim concerning everyone requires belief from ninety percent of people. Opportunities to use the power are limited and can be gained through discipleship and disciples’ advancement 1 10 12.

• Created the Heavenly Mist Sect and later established resources including its Source Qi vein, Scripture Repository, Sacred Cleansing Waterfall, Armory, and Time Tower 2 5 9 16 19 21.
• Caused the Qigu Secret Realm to manifest by paying a storyteller to spread the claim; Li learned that others could relay a fabrication without him speaking it himself 23.

• Dragon Abyss Wonder Bone — brought back by Zhang Xingfeng; the system identifies it as one of the materials needed to forge the Hongpo Sword. The other required materials have not appeared 45.

• Daoist Qi — the deceased cultivator whose undelivered final request continues to trouble Li 1.

• Cultivation trials — he establishes the Time Tower to accelerate cultivation and the Trial Tower to give his rapidly advancing disciples practical experience. He personally pushes into the Trial Tower’s second floor before an encounter with Jitian ends his attempt 21 23.
• Qigu Secret Realm — Li’s planted rumor makes the realm real. He sends Xingfeng, Muxue, and Guyu to seek its treasures; their return brings valuable pill herbs and a pill art, prompting him to plan a disciple-selection assembly 23 28 45.
• Dongfang Family conflict — when Muxue’s family comes under attack, Li dispatches her, her fellow disciples, Lü Liu, and Mo Lingyuan to help 47.
