Background / History

Lü Liu accompanied Dongfang Muxue when Muxue ran away from the Dongfang Family to join a secluded sect. Initially wary of Li Moqing’s suitability as Muxue’s teacher, she accepted his authority after seeing him fly. Muxue asked that Lü Liu be admitted alongside her; Li made Muxue a personal disciple and Lü Liu an attendant disciple responsible for daily needs 7 8.

Eager to cultivate despite being mortal, Lü Liu followed Zhang Xingfeng to the Dao-Enlightenment Stone. She persisted through a day and night of meditation without food or water, then fainted from exhaustion and hunger. Mo Lingyuan treated her with Source Qi, and she woke to tell Li that she had succeeded in comprehending the Dao. Li subsequently had her memorize the Divine Breath Pure Heart Scripture and assigned her menial duties through which she could earn points for resources 9 11 13 14.

When the Wang Family and Moon-Reflecting Sect attacked the Dongfang Family, Lü Liu accompanied Muxue and the Heavenly Mist Sect’s rescue party. Li gave her a sect token that would record her points and award fifty for each enemy killed. She intended to exchange the points for Source Stones and reach the seventh level of Qi Refinement. On arriving at the battlefield, she went with Muxue to check on Muxue’s injured mother, Feng Lian 47 48 49.

Appearance

Lü Liu is identified by the green clothing she wears while accompanying Muxue 6 11.

Personality

Lü Liu is protective of Muxue: she questions Li when he blocks their path, worries that joining him could diminish Muxue’s standing, and urges her to return when the Dongfang Family comes under attack 7 47. She is also persistent in pursuing cultivation, enduring the Dao-Enlightenment Stone’s ordeal and later working for points to obtain a suitable technique 13 14 22.
