Everyone Was Stunned

"Then you can all disappear for good."

Naruto Uzumaki entered Six Paths Sage Fox Mode and hurled several Ultra-Big Ball Senjutsu Rasengan at Sasuke and the others.

Sasuke activated Susanoo and used Lightning God Spear Blade to cancel out the Rasengan.

The shockwave from the collision sent the million ninja behind them flying. The entire battlefield fell into chaos.

The scene shifted.

The video reached its end.

Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha had both suffered devastating injuries.

Naruto had lost both hands, while Sasuke had lost his left eye and left hand.

They were both drenched in blood. The video slowly blurred.

At that moment,

a line of text appeared on the Light Screen in the sky and froze above the massive image: "This future preview has ended. The next screening will begin in seven hours."

The ninja who had watched the short video sat stunned.

When the civilians of the Shinobi World saw that future, terror drove them into a frenzy.

The Shinobi World erupted into an uproar. Fear showed on every face.

The Ōtsutsuki

Momoshiki Ōtsutsuki stared at his future self, his face twisted with rage and fear. A lowly creature named Naruto Uzumaki had reduced him to that wretched state.

He would suffer worse than death, then be taken away for research. Once they were done with him, they would train him into a guard dog.

Momoshiki seemed to lose his mind. He slaughtered every ninja in sight on the planet under his rule.

He kept killing, desperately trying to bury the cruel, inescapable future awaiting him.

That miserable image of himself filled his thoughts, leaving him consumed by panic.

Only after Momoshiki had killed every civilian and ninja before him did he slowly calm down.

Covered in their blood, he stood atop a heap of bodies and roared, "Naruto Uzumaki! I am Momoshiki Ōtsutsuki! I will never fear you!"

"No matter how powerful a monster you are, I won't let that future happen."

Momoshiki grew even more frenzied. "You lowly creatures had better watch yourselves! I belong to the proud Ōtsutsuki!"

"I'll remember you."

"Naruto! Uzumaki!"

On the moon,

Kaguya Ōtsutsuki frowned in confusion. "Naruto Uzumaki and that boy named Sasuke Uchiha..."

"Why do I sense such familiar chakra from them?"

"Who are those two children? Why are they so powerful?"

Kaguya drifted back to sleep, leaving one final remark. "Black Zetsu, you won't disappoint me."

"Will you...?"

Konoha

Silence filled the Hokage's Office until Hiruzen Sarutobi broke it.

He rebuked his old partner. "Danzo, look what you've done."

"Why would you hurt Shisui Uchiha?"

"How could you face Kagami Uchiha?"

Hiruzen pointed at Danzo, his face blazing with anger. But before he could continue,

Danzo cut him off, angrier still.

"Monkey, shut your mouth!"

"Have you gone senile? I haven't done any of those things."

"And how was I supposed to know my future self would act like that?"

Danzo felt deeply wronged. They had been friends for so many years,

yet Hiruzen had begun to doubt him because of a Light Screen.

Fugaku Uchiha turned a murderous gaze on the Konoha Higher-ups and said in a low voice, "As the head of the Uchiha, I want peace. More than that, I want my clan to belong in Konoha."

"But if we must endure such humiliation to obtain that peace, then the Uchiha want no part of your Konoha."

Fugaku activated his Mangekyō Sharingan and glared at Danzo. "If you set your sights on the Uchiha's Sharingan as you did in that future," he warned,

"I'll do whatever it takes to end you right here, Danzo."

Minato Namikaze hurried to Fugaku's side and spoke gently. "Calm down, Fugaku. That was the future, but things are different now."

"We can still prevent that tragedy."

Minato met Fugaku's eyes with unwavering sincerity. "Please trust me."

Fugaku looked at Minato, then chose to remain silent and place his trust in him.

His powerful chakra pressure vanished, and he slowly sat down.

Everyone in the room was stunned. One thought echoed through their minds: Fugaku has it too...

Minato turned to Danzo, his expression grave. "Elder Danzo, I hope the tragedies we saw will never happen."

Danzo snorted and stormed toward the door of the Hokage's Office, kicking it hard.

Bang!

He walked out.

" Hiruzen, you'll regret this," he muttered.

"Everything I do is for Konoha. Only when I become Hokage can I take control of it all."

Hiruzen seemed to have aged years. "I failed you. I'm sorry, Fugaku."

"If Danzo does any of those things we saw, I'll make sure the Uchiha receive justice!"

Seeing how tense the room had become, Shikaku Nara stepped in. "Third Hokage, Clan Head Fugaku, let's discuss the information we saw up there."

Minato agreed.

Akatsuki

Nagato stared in shock. "Did you understand what we saw, Konan? Can you tell me about their eyes?"

Konan was just as stunned. "Yes, Nagato. Their Rinnegan were golden. Naruto Uzumaki's had nine black tomoe."

"Sasuke Uchiha's golden Rinnegan also had nine black tomoe. And there were nine mysterious black spheres behind him."

Nagato fell silent, troubled, as he tried to make sense of it all.

Konan noticed his hesitation and quickly encouraged him. "Don't let your thoughts run away with you, Nagato. We haven't seen our future yet. I'm sure we'll stop those tragedies."

She looked at him firmly. "You're the savior of the Shinobi World, Nagato. You can't lose your way."

Her words steadied Nagato. He answered with conviction, "Thank you, Konan. No matter how powerful our future enemies are, I'm confident I can face them with these Rinnegan. And I'll keep growing stronger."

"The Golden Tomoe Rinnegan... I, Nagato, will find a way to evolve my Rinnegan into that form too."

Seeing his resolve, Konan felt a surge of relief. Yahiko, can you see him? Your will hasn't faded. I'll do everything I can to help Nagato bring peace to the Shinobi World.
