"Louis! You're here!"
The moment Bai Xinxin saw the man in the pink suit, her face lit up with a brilliant smile. Her cold, haughty demeanor vanished without a trace.
She sprang to her feet, opened her arms, and greeted Louis with a close cheek-to-cheek kiss.
"Mwah! Mwah!"
They kissed each other on both cheeks. In the quiet restaurant, the sounds were especially loud.
Yue Xiaofei watched the cringe-inducing display, his mouth twitching.
This neither-here-nor-there guy was her friend?
What kind of freak was he?
This meal was getting more interesting by the minute.
"Darling, I missed you so much!"
Louis spoke in a pinched voice, his tone enough to give anyone goosebumps.
His gaze soon landed on Yue Xiaofei. He looked him up and down with undisguised disdain.
"So this is the... blind date they set you up with?"
Louis held up a dainty hand to cover his mouth and let out an exaggerated giggle.
Bai Xinxin took Louis's hand and sat down beside him. With a hint of smugness, she introduced him to Yue Xiaofei. "This is Louis, my best friend. We came back from Eagle Country together."
She said it as though having any connection to Eagle Country was a tremendous achievement.
Louis crossed his legs and gave Yue Xiaofei a reluctant nod by way of greeting.
"Hello, I'm Louis."
He looked as haughty as a peacock showing off its feathers.
Yue Xiaofei could barely be bothered to lift his eyes. He gave a flat "Mm."
Bai Xinxin's expression soured again at his cool response.
"What kind of attitude is that? Louis said hello to you!"
Yue Xiaofei finally looked up, glanced at Louis, then at Bai Xinxin.
"When we greet people in Dragon Kingdom, we don't need to get quite so intimate, do we? All that
