Link Wayne, that "fellow Wayne" from Gotham, had made it all public with an almost boastful flourish, as though showing the world how generous and transparent he was.

And he had found nothing.

The satellite was as clean as a blank sheet of paper.

It had no hidden backdoors, no suspicious hardware modules, nothing beyond its advertised functions.

It was a perfect public-safety satellite, designed solely for the good of humanity.

That was precisely what made it so terrifying.
