"Hornet's nest? What hornet's nest?"

Harley Quinn looked baffled. She had no idea what Link meant by that out-of-the-blue remark.

Link didn't explain.

His mind raced at an unimaginable speed, processing the "warning" he had just received from the Three-Stone Resonance.

Thanos had gathered the other three Stones and was on the move. That meant the mad Titan now saw Link as his greatest enemy—one he had to deal with personally. He could arrive at any moment.

Worse still was Darkseid.

The dark ruler of Apokolips wasted no time. His fleet had probably already passed through a Boom Tube and reached the edge of the Solar System.

No, to put it more nicely, he needed an army that could take some of the pressure off him and clear out the rank and file.

And the Justice League and Avengers he had just beaten down himself were the obvious choice.

"Puddin', what should we do with these guys?" Harley came closer, licking her lips and brandishing her baseball bat. Eager madness filled her eyes. "Want me to put them out of their misery? I promise it won't hurt. One crack each, and they're done!"

At that, Wonder Woman struggled to raise her head, fury blazing in her eyes. Batman said nothing, but the eyes behind his shattered cowl were wary.

"No need."

Link shook his head, leaving Harley disappointed.
