Joanna was about to pull Lin Mo into another store when he checked the time.

"That's about enough."

"Maeve should be here soon."

Joanna immediately looked a little unhappy.

"Already?"

"She's coming by car."

"It's taken her long enough."

"Fine."

Joanna was reluctant, but she knew they couldn't leave Maeve waiting at the restaurant too long.

The two soon headed for Bluebird Restaurant, near Vought's headquarters. It was in a good location and tastefully decorated, with plenty of luxury cars parked outside. Its usual customers were clearly no ordinary people.

As Lin Mo and Joanna reached the entrance, they spotted Maeve sitting by the window. A cup of coffee sat in front of her, and she looked noticeably more tired than she had that morning.

Maeve looked up when they came in.

The first thing she saw was the shopping bags in Joanna's hands.

Maeve fell silent. She suddenly wondered what she had rushed all the way over from Godolkin University for.

Lin Mo looked a little awkward.
