Lin Mo turned his head, and she tipped her chin slightly in that direction.
"Let's go see what's happening."
Hearing that from her surprised Lin Mo a little. She usually had no interest in this sort of thing, yet today she had brought it up herself.
Still, he didn't dwell on it. They might as well take a look at the scene.
"Sure."
Lin Mo nodded, then stood up.
"We've got nothing else to do right now anyway."
Ashley had already taken Annie outside for interviews.
The selection was over, and he didn't need to sit here overseeing the publicity and procedures that followed. Since the person over there was still alive, he might as well go take a look.
Seeing him agree, Joanna stood up as well.
Lin Mo had barely turned around before she linked her arm through his again. Beside them, Maeve watched and froze for a moment.
Wait, what are you two up to now?
All she had seen was Lin Mo glance outside a couple of times, followed by Joanna looking in the same direction.
As for what they had actually seen, she had no idea. All she had heard was something about going to see what was happening.
Then Lin Mo had agreed, and then they had both stood up. The whole exchange had barely left her an opening to get a word in.
"We're stepping out for a bit."
Lin Mo turned to let her know.
Maeve looked at him, then at Joanna, who already had her arm linked through his.
"Now?"
"Yeah. We'll be back soon."
With that, Lin Mo headed off to the side with Joanna.
Maeve remained seated, her gaze following their retreating figures.
Seriously, you're already planning to bail?
