Ever since Rover had brought Aemeath back, another problem had been troubling her.

It was the mysterious black-haired young woman who had returned with her.

Rover had no memory of the girl who had suddenly appeared beside Void Matter Lake.

Had she simply been passing by?

Even so, Rover did not dare let down her guard.

An ordinary person could not have appeared out of nowhere beside the cabin where she and Aemeath had once lived. The concentration of Void Matter there was far too high.

And besides...

As Rover recalled what had happened, she glanced at the girl speaking with Principal Losera in the classroom.

The girl had basic common sense, but beyond that, she seemed bewildered by everything.

Like a child.

It looked as though Rover had plenty more trouble ahead of her.

Thankfully, not everything about coming back gave her a headache.

Poke.

Aemeath came up beside Rover and gently prodded her shoulder.

"What are you thinking about~?"

Rover would never let her family see her looking grim and worry them.

She quickly collected herself and put on a smile.

"Nothing. I just think there's something strange about where she came from." With that, Rover patted Aemeath's head.

Perhaps it was because she had patted little Aemeath's head so often in the past.

Even though Aemeath had grown up, the familiar gesture still felt perfectly natural to Rover.

Aemeath did not pull away, either. Being able to feel Rover's warmth like this was something she had once dreamed of.

At a time like this, she could set her embarrassment aside and enjoy being cared for by her family.

That was right. Aemeath had regained a body after returning.

It was not that her destroyed body had been restored, though. She had the Sun Spirits
