Disma signaled for everyone to wait. The second senior hurried forward to block their path, then joined his cousin Maximian in dragging a tiny miniature dragon out of the snow nearby.
"This is the one behind it!" Disma looked decidedly unfriendly.
"This little fellow seems to be a Fairy Dragon." His cousin Maximian smiled instead, holding the Fairy Dragon by its tail. "Don't squirm. We won't hurt you."
"Whoa, don't kill me, don't kill me! I was only playing a little joke on you!"
The little Fairy Dragon was barely larger than a cat. Once caught, it readily admitted defeat, twisting its tiny body and raising its pair of pudgy claws. "I just—I was just drawn here by this fellow's Extraordinary Charisma. I wanted to see whether there was any fun to be had around him."

Everyone immediately turned their eyes toward Aaron.
Aaron stepped forward with a humorless smile. "And your idea of fun was to impersonate the person I'd arranged to meet and play a trick on me with illusions? Hoping to swindle some free food and drink out of it?"
