On a blazing summer morning, as the oppressive heat set in, Aaron Salian, the newly appointed Viscount of the Sunset Lands with an actual fief to his name, stood before his father's portrait in his study, silent for a long time.

Aaron had yet to regain all his strength. After reaching the peak of the Elite rank, the Chaos Gods had put a merciless stranglehold on his progress, leaving him unable to advance to Master. His strength was therefore in a somewhat awkward state. Still, with the Dwarf Engineering Corps already on its way to the Sunset Lands to begin building his castle and wonders, he believed breaking through the restrictions imposed by the Chaos Gods would only be a matter of time.

The second-floor window offered an excellent view, taking in the entire azure sky. The magnificent mahogany furniture proclaimed the family's resurgence, while just outside the window, a nine-meter-long Force Dragon rested against the sill, watching Aaron. He had used his ability as a Force Dragon to refract light, leaving the humans nearby completely unable to see the big dragon sitting in the garden.

The only one who could see the big dragon was Pani the Fairy Dragon. The little fellow was cowering in a corner of the garden, clutching its head and trembling in terror.

Aaron glanced out the window, thinking that Force Dragons really did make excellent companions.

Normally, any dragon could eat half its own body weight in food every day and digest it completely. Both good and evil dragons were more than happy to do so, for the desire to fill their bellies was one of their strongest instincts.
