The creation of the Chaos Hellcannon had been an accident.
As you might remember, before Bane Godspawn Mannacorn Anaheim died, he had asked Aaron to inherit Anaheim Military Industries. Aaron had agreed, and ownership of Anaheim Military Industries had passed to him.
However, during the actual takeover, the Bane Godspawn's personal charisma had become abundantly clear. Many key figures in Anaheim Military Industries' upper management had either been killed in the rebellion or committed serious crimes, so they naturally could no longer serve Aaron. Even among the remaining managers and senior engineers, many had preferred to give up their jobs and positions rather than work under him.
Through lavish rewards, harsh punishments, a meticulous management system, and a complex web of checks and restraints, Mannacorn had turned Anaheim Military Industries into his personal property, answering to him alone.
Reorganizing Anaheim Military Industries therefore required a great deal of time. Aaron still had not successfully taken control of the system.
Although Aaron had failed to take over that system, he had still received Anaheim Military Industries' legacy. As mentioned earlier, Mannacorn had once made a deal with the archdevil Bael. Aaron still could not figure out whether Bael or Zariel ruled Avernus, since the bald Singer's information contradicted itself. The Bane Godspawn had paid an enormous price to acquire the legendary war engine, the Hellfire War Machine, only to find himself unable to activate it.
The war engine, left to rot in a warehouse, had eventually been bought back by the bald Singer Morgan for fifty thousand gold coins. But Anaheim Military Industries' attempts
