Aaron, Drizzt, and Nastya had formed a temporary party. Nastya had yet to recover from her earlier emotional turmoil, and Aaron supported his Dark Elf Sister as they moved slowly onward.

Drizzt kicked apart the doorway leading beneath the cliffside tower, and Icingdeath's blade split the gate of flesh down the middle.

The shattered stones floated in the air before Drizzt scattered them with his twin blades.

It seemed rather excessive and unnecessary, but the Drow Ranger appeared to enjoy it. His eyes gleamed with pleasure as he gazed excitedly at the new power in his hands, delighted like a child.

Nastya vaguely remembered feeling something similar when she first picked up a real scimitar as a child, and she smiled wistfully.
