"I'd like to ask your people in Elturel the same thing!" Aaron snapped, pointing at the collapsed house. "This entire family had already been turned into Zariel's tieflings! What the hell are you Hellriders doing? How did you fail to notice even this? Are praying inside their churches the only duties the clerics of Torm and Helm have?"

"Your criticism is justified, my lord. As a Hellrider, I will relay it faithfully to the City Council." Hild drew his longsword and took the shield from his back. Aaron's criticism did not seem to upset him at all. On the contrary, he was brimming with excitement. In his eyes, the two ranks of devils were not merely a threat, but a reward.

He had always wanted to become a genuine Hellrider!
