Sunset Lands, the grand temple of the Church of Selûne.
Built beside Wyvernwater, the grand temple of the Church of Selûne was perhaps the largest complex apart from the Round Table Hall and Sallyan Castle. It covered more than a hectare, making it larger than a football field.
Exquisite reliefs made of copper, silver, gold, and ivory decorated the temple inside and out. At its center stood a U-shaped altar bearing three statues of the goddess Selûne: the Maiden of the Moon, Selûne, and the Lady of Silver.
Naturally, in accordance with the local preference, the grand temple of the Church of Selûne placed the Lady of Silver at the center.
According to Aaron's plans, the temple would be supported by 128 columns, each eighteen meters tall. Its interior was divided into several sections, with one already reserved specifically for the Heaven Pantheon. That section had no roof, allowing people inside the temple to gaze up at the blue sky, and their wishes and souls to ascend directly to heaven to be with the gods.
For one, the Dragonspike family, from which the quasi-deity Vander Dragonspear hailed, had already secured a place here for their god. People had also begun to worship and place their faith in the Fairy Princess Buer.
Naturally, gardens and ponds surrounded the grand temple. Every temple of Selûne had to have both. Not far from the temple, an artificial island was under construction in the middle of Wyvernwater, where work was about to begin on the largest statue of Selûne in the Realms.
