Above Tifanton, the guardian dragon of the realm, the Legendary Force Dragon Aegir, appeared. Her proud amber slit pupils swept over her subjects. Before the people of Green Velar, whom Big Dragon already regarded as her private property, could respond, Aegir roared, assumed human form, and landed beside Aaron.
"Roar!"
The aura of the Legendary Force Dragon made the legs of the two Rogues in the crowd tremble.
The spectacle had not only startled them, but also frightened many outsiders, especially children, to tears. Compared with the enormous Legendary Dragon Species before them, the packhorses beside them looked like something out of My Little Pony: small and helpless.
The people of Green Velar, however, were already thoroughly accustomed to Aegir's appearances.
With the dragon's roar, Aaron Salian, Shogun of Cormyr and Archduke of Green Velar, officially made his entrance. Surrounded by numerous Silver Dragon Knights, he strode into the city.
Following its redesign, Tifanton had now removed most of its military facilities, replacing them with spacious roads, clean streets, and orderly houses.
Drainage ditches had been dug along both sides of the main road, with vacant strips of land beside them, some already planted with flowers and greenery. Though the city was not as large as Suzail, it unmistakably bore Aaron's personal stamp. It had been divided into four major sections: residential, commercial, industrial, and military.
Most of the city was still under construction, but people had already begun moving into many of the stone houses along the roads. Unlike the usual arrangements in other cities, Aaron had taken the unusual step of requiring the Dwarves to build a complex sewer system for Tifantom. He had also decreed that anyone who relieved themselves or spat in public could face a fine of up to twenty gold coins.
