When White Feather landed on the Snow City Branch's helipad, all three of them shivered.

It wasn't that they actually felt cold. They knew how cold Snow City was, so they had covered themselves in magic power beforehand to keep warm.

But the snow blanketing everything outside still told their eyes that this place was freezing.

Compared with this, winter in the Northern Capital was a child.

"It's hard to believe there's a developed city out here."

Knight sounded impressed.

Just because Snow City stood deep in the snowfields didn't mean it was backward.

Quite the opposite. It was nearly as developed as the Northern Capital, and with fewer people, its residents lived even more comfortably.

As for how such a remote place could be so wealthy...

Its mines were ridiculously rich!

About two hundred years ago, an expedition discovered a vein of gold here and sent word back. The news caused an immediate sensation.

Even the neighboring country to the north took an interest.

The government sent troops to build a fortified military base here to protect the vein.

Later, as the economy and the country grew stronger, Snow City gradually became a town and continued to develop. Once Fallen Beasts appeared and the first three Magical Girls arrived in the country, its growth surged.

When you had rapid-fire nuclear weapons, what was there to fear?

And so Snow City was built under those conditions, then grew steadily larger.

"In another two weeks, the polar night begins."

The Branch staff member who had come to meet them was telling them about Snow City.

"We won't see the sun for over a month. You could call it one of Snow City's unique sights... We Snow City folk may love a drink, but everyone here knows how to behave when drunk.
