History

The Liberation Faction kidnaps Qianqian to lure Yang Chen into an abandoned factory. Forced to watch a Fallen Beast repeatedly attack him, she awakens as Thousand Blades, destroys the beast, and pins down the kidnappers without seriously injuring them 29 30. Her parents fear the dangers of her new role but accept her decision to fight 31.

After joining the Association, she trains with Masked Heroine and gains public attention for quickly purifying first-tier Fallen Beasts 35. During a school attack, she learns that Yang Chen is Magical Girl Love when he stops her from exposing her own identity and transforms to help Knight 41 42.

When Love is dragged beneath a factory, Thousand Blades jumps after her despite Knight’s warning. She fights through the underground tunnels alone until her Magic Power is nearly exhausted 90 91 93. After advancing to Lamp-Lighting Rank, she helps hold off a powerful Fallen Beast while Love is unresponsive 96 97. Headquarters subsequently brings her in for focused training, and she remains Love’s partner when Love is appointed director of Magical Girl affairs in the Northern Capital 102 116.

Appearance

Thousand Blades wears a cape and fights surrounded by hovering Silver Blades. Her Regalia becomes lighter-looking after her advance to Lamp-Lighting Rank 29 35 96.

• Her transformed presence strikes trainees as cool and intimidating, although she is nervous around them 73.
• She is described as silver-clad during the pursuit beneath the factory 90.

Personality

Qianqian is shy about praise and public attention, often appearing aloof when she is actually uncomfortable around strangers 34 73 105. With Love, she is affectionate, protective, and sometimes jealous 47 76 107.

Her wish to protect those close to her is also a source of recklessness. She acknowledges that pursuing Love underground left her teammates in danger, but refuses to pretend she could have abandoned the person she loves 90 93.

Silver Blades

Thousand Blades creates and directs floating silver blades for ranged attacks, including a widespread Blade Rain 29 30.

• She can precisely pin opponents by their clothing or disarm them without cutting them 30.
• She controls the blades as readily as her own limbs. By Lamp-Lighting Rank, they are faster and can act on her commands independently 91 113.
• Prolonged fighting drains her Magic Power, reducing both the number and effectiveness of the blades she can maintain 93.

Defense-Breaking Cuts

The Magic Power along her blades’ edges severs magical defenses rather than simply overpowering them 34.

• At Firefly Rank, her blades penetrate a shield built to withstand attacks of that rank; the damage does not repair itself 34.
• At Lamp-Lighting Rank, her strikes leave wounds an enemy cannot heal. At Headquarters, a regenerating test target cannot analyze or repair her cut 97 105.
• Her wound effect remains dangerous against stronger opponents: a cut she leaves on the Sunlit Rank Scholar continues bleeding 163.
• Because these injuries are difficult to heal, she is reluctant to use her blades freely in sparring 73 114.

• Love / Yang Chen / Yang Cheng — Childhood companion, romantic partner, and fellow Magical Girl. Protecting Love drives Qianqian’s awakening and her pursuit beneath the factory 29 90 91.
