Pirates: Invincible from the Start

The guards drew their weapons in unison, their eyes full of wariness.

As the figure with the magnificent great blade on his back approached, an invisible pressure bore down on them, slowly weighing on their minds and drawing cold sweat from their foreheads.

Noticing something wrong with the atmosphere at the docks, the civilians nearby all put down their work, jumped down from the buildings, and quickly gathered around with their tools in hand.

Sensing the commotion, the figure slowly raised his head, revealing the eyes beneath his top hat. He swept his hawklike gaze over the civilians on shore. Though he released no particular aura, his eyes and his gaze alone made them all freeze.

The pressure was overwhelming, so strong that none of them dared meet his eyes. But remembering the peace they had fought so hard to gain, they tightened their grips on their tools and stood firmly behind the guards.

Anyone who wanted to take away their hard-won peace would have to step over their bodies first.

"Hmm! Good spirit."

The figure with the hawklike eyes spoke.

He looked past the guards, walked to the edge of the dock, and stopped.

"Am I too late?"

He sensed no powerful presence here except one. Though that person was strong, he could tell it was not the presence of the Swordmaster he sought.

Just then, the crowd gathered at the docks slowly parted down the middle, and a tall figure walked out.

Bada stared at the figure by the dock, who was not particularly tall yet radiated endless pressure, and asked gravely, "Hawk Eyes, what are you doing here?"

Those eyes, that magnificent black great blade—anyone on the Grand Line with a little knowledge would recognize him!

The visitor was Dracule Mihawk, one of the Shichibukai.

Known as
