Pirates: Invincible from the Start

At first, they had been excited, but as time passed, they gradually lost interest.

If the clash of blades hadn't kept ringing out, and if the gales born of the shock waves hadn't kept rocking the Freedom, they would have gone back aboard to sleep long ago.

For the past two days, they had cooked on a makeshift stove they had set up onshore.

"Ahua, go prepare some food!"

Kuina withdrew her gaze. Her eyes were bloodshot. Of all of them, she had watched the most intently, and she was the only one who could truly gauge both fighters' strength and condition.

She had to admit, the World's Greatest Swordsman lived up to his name.

From what she had seen, Kuta had been at a disadvantage from the start. Though he had traded blows with Mihawk, he had spent much of the fight in grave danger.

Of course, knowing Kuta as she did, she was certain that if he didn't want to be hurt, even a Mihawk twice as strong couldn't touch him.

So while Mihawk's strength astonished her, she wasn't worried about Kuta at all.

She turned to Ahua. "They've been fighting for so long. They must be starving. Make plenty of food."

Then she looked at A-Tao and A-Luo. "You two go help him!"

"Got it!"

The Ahua Trio turned to Kuina and answered loudly.

Then they leaped aboard the Freedom and headed for the kitchen.

With the two fighters in the middle of the island at a standstill, the gales and waves gradually subsided.

The Freedom was still rocking, but they could stand steadily on deck now.

They could cook, at least.

"Heh heh heh heh!"

Indigo chuckled and looked away from the island's center. Turning to Kuina, he said with a smile, "Cooking? I'll help too.
