At dawn, the sky was only beginning to lighten.
The sun had yet to rise above the sea when Bada brought his men to the embankment on Spring Island.
The countless severed limbs scattered across the distant street left him stunned.
Judging by the wounds, every one of those people had died from a single slash.
Even the way they had fallen looked almost uniform.
"Whoa! That's awful!"
"What's awful about it?"
"These bastards terrorized Bass Island for two or three years!"
One of his men looked at the bodies with satisfaction in his eyes. "Now they're all dead. We should be celebrating."
"Yeah! They deserved to die ages ago!"
"Who knows who they crossed? Someone killed every last one of them. Serves them right."
Their chatter drew Bada's attention. He turned around. "Enough noise. Silver Hair is the only one on the island who could've done this. I'll see if he's awake. You clear away the bodies."
Then he looked toward Winter Island. "Once you're done, go bring everyone out!"
"They haven't felt the warmth of Spring Island in years.
