But the Revolutionary Army had made no moves in recent years. They had gradually faded from public view, and no one mentioned them anymore.
Those people had not spoken with him at length, though. He had met with Nico Robin partly because of the object his master had left behind, and partly because of another matter. A man named Crocodile had come to see him before, and the first two words out of his mouth had nearly made his heart leap out of his chest.
Those words were none other than "Pluton!"
Crocodile had been in far-off Alabasta. During their conversation, Iceburg had unexpectedly learned that the child once carrying a bounty of 79 million Beli—the Devil Child, Nico Robin—was still alive.
Fortunately, someone named Enel had come and driven Crocodile away. Otherwise, Iceburg had no idea how he would have dealt with that trouble.
From Enel's tone, he seemed to serve that man, just like the young woman before Iceburg. But she appeared to be far closer to him.
The clearest sign was that Enel had not inherited the mysterious power that had shaken the entire world: Sword Intent.
Iceburg took out the wooden box, set it gently on the table, and pushed it toward Robin.
Robin pointed from across the room, shattering the box. The black Little Wooden Sword inside seemed to respond to something and rose into the air!
Robin stared at the Little Wooden Sword for a long time without speaking.
She could clearly sense that Dongze had made this Wooden Sword himself. Sealed within it was a unique Sword Intent—one he had never sealed in a little sword before.
Robin reached out and ran a hand along the blade. She withdrew her own Sword Intent completely, then asked softly, "What did your master tell you?"
