Background and History

Kaguya came to the Ninja World with Isshiki Otsutsuki to plant a God Tree. As the lower-ranking partner, she was meant to be sacrificed to it. She betrayed Isshiki instead and ate the Chakra Fruit herself. The Otsutsuki main family subsequently marked her for execution for desertion and consuming the fruit without permission 293 305.

Her sons Hagoromo and Hamura sealed her more than a thousand years before the present events. Kaguya created Black Zetsu before the seal took hold; he spent the following millennium arranging her return. After Rono weakened Madara, Black Zetsu controlled him and activated Infinite Tsukuyomi, reviving Kaguya 220 299 302.

Appearance

Kaguya has long white hair and Byakugan eyes. Her Tailed Beast Transformation is a gigantic, rabbit-like form several thousand meters tall 302 359.

Her feelings toward her sons initially interfere with her judgment: Hagoromo persuades her to hesitate while she has a chance to seal him. After he exploits that opening to wound her, she resolves to treat him as an enemy. She later becomes openly loyal to Rono, who repeatedly prevents her resealing and protects her from the Otsutsuki elders 304 335 404.
