Shirahoshi hesitated. Then she spotted Chris beside Neptune and slowly moved toward them.

"Shirahoshi, let your father introduce someone to you."

King Neptune took Shirahoshi's hand and eagerly pointed to Chris, who sat nearby.

"This is the honored guest I wanted you to meet—Captain Chris!"

Shirahoshi glanced at Chris, timid but curious, then gave him a small bow.

"Lord Chris, hello!"

Chris nodded politely to Shirahoshi.

Shirahoshi was just as timid as he remembered. Vander Decken IX had clearly had a profound effect on her.

"Shirahoshi, Captain Chris is an extraordinary man!"

"He's young, talented, handsome, and unfathomably strong."

"Why, he's the youngest Shichibukai in the World Government today!"

"And from what I've seen, he's an exceptional leader. Everyone seated here is part of his crew, and they all have tremendous faith in him!"

King Neptune couldn't stop praising Chris. He was practically singing his praises to the heavens.

It showed just how highly Neptune regarded Chris!

After hearing her father's introduction, Shirahoshi gazed at Chris with even greater admiration.

She began to believe that the young man before her really could save her.

"I've read about you in the newspapers, Lord Chris. I've always dreamed of a life like yours!"

Chris smiled faintly. "Everyone's life has something worth cherishing."

"Of course, if you'd like to see what our life is like, you're welcome aboard my ship for a few days."

A spark lit up Princess Shirahoshi's watery eyes. "Really? I can?"

But the light soon faded from her beautiful eyes. "I can't stay away from the Hard-Shell Tower for long. Otherwise, one of those thrown axes might hit me!"
