One of them pointed straight at Tesoro's nose. "If you know what's good for you, leave and hand over all this gold."
"We might just spare your life!"
"Otherwise, we'll kill you first, then take the gold!"
Tesoro looked faintly surprised.
Then he burst into wild laughter!
He had never imagined they thought he was that weak.
Tesoro gave a soft snort. "You want to kill me?"
"Go ahead and try!"
Tesoro sat on the Golden Throne, one arm resting casually along its back.
He shot the Pudora Kingdom soldiers on the Golden Battlefield a provocative look.
"Go ahead and try."
"Let's see if you can kill me."
"Kill me, and all the gold here is yours!"
At Tesoro's challenge, the Pudora Kingdom soldiers began itching for a fight.
They refused to back down from his taunt.
And they wanted all the gold for themselves.
The soldiers exchanged glances, made up their minds, and roared together.
"Kill him!"
Their battle cry thundered across the Golden Battlefield.
The Pudora Kingdom soldiers seized their weapons and charged at Tesoro.
But the thunderous cry had barely begun before it ended.
The whole thing took no more than a second or two.
In its place came one startled, bewildered voice after another.
The soldiers had discovered that, somehow, the ground beneath their feet
was covered in gold!
Every one of them had their feet buried deep in it!

The soldiers were shocked and confused, and fear and panic began to set in.
Trapped in the gold, they could not budge.
