A gleam flashed through Adrian's eyes as he read the secondary profession unlock quest.

Several years earlier,

Adrian had arrived at the Tree of Knowledge Library in Ohara and acquired the Doctor and Shipwright secondary professions. After that, the panel had removed the convenient option of gaining secondary professions by reading books.

Back then, it had told him to "explore other ways to acquire secondary professions."

At the same time, it had warned him that "as the number of secondary professions increases, the difficulty of unlocking more will also accumulate."

Adrian's sixth secondary profession had been Bounty Hunter.

He had obtained it during his voyage through the West Blue, after capturing five pirates with bounties exceeding one million Beli. It had not been especially hard to unlock.

His seventh secondary profession was Pirate. He had gained it in the South Blue, after repeatedly disrupting a joint operation by the World Government and Marine Headquarters and receiving a bounty on his head.

Since Pirate was one of the most common professions in this world, all it took to obtain it was a bounty issued by the Marines or the World Government. Unlocking it had not been difficult either.

But since then, no matter what Adrian tried, he had been unable to unlock another
