But against White Ghost, freezing had very little effect. It was nowhere near as troublesome as Borsalino's Glint-Glint Fruit...

"Sengoku took his adopted son to the North Blue.

"Zephyr is accompanying a ship of recruits on a trial mission.

"I know about both of them."

Kong stroked his white beard, parted neatly beneath his chin.

"But what about Garp? I remember he finished a mission a couple of days ago. Isn't he at headquarters?"

When a Celestial Dragon was offended, a Marine Admiral had to respond. That was an unshakable rule.

Garp might hold the rank of Vice Admiral, but hardly anyone actually regarded him as one.

Sending Garp would have the same effect as sending an Admiral—perhaps an even better one.

"Ahem..."

Vice Admiral Tsuru loosely curled a fist before her mouth and coughed.

"Garp... went back to his hometown in the East Blue yesterday afternoon."

"He took leave?" Kong blinked. "Why didn't I know?"

Vice Admiral Tsuru said with some difficulty, "Garp... probably filed a leave request."

"Did he?"

Kong scratched his head. Perhaps he had been so swamped with work that he had overlooked Garp's request.

Vice Admiral Tsuru's gaze wandered. "Perhaps."

"That guy's been going back to the East Blue a lot these past two or three years..."

Kong sighed.

"Having a grandson really is something for a Marine."

Vice Admiral Tsuru nodded silently.

"Forget it. I'll handle this myself!"

Kong rose from the Fleet Admiral's chair and flexed his knuckles, setting off a sharp series of cracks.

"Being Fleet Admiral is a damn nuisance. Aside from that time we captured Redfield, I can't remember the last time I left Marineford! This is a good chance to stretch my legs!"

Vice Admiral Tsuru asked, "What about Kuzan?"

"...He can come too!"

On the Sabaody Archipelago.
