Adrian nodded to Gion, then entered Ghostification and flew away.
The smile faded from Zephyr's face. He turned to his adjutant.
"What are you staring at? Get those weak-willed brats on the beach back on their feet!
"They couldn't even withstand an enemy's pressure. They're a disgrace to the recruit training camp!"
After flying some distance from the unnamed island, Adrian reached the vast open sea.
He held out a hand and tapped the casing of his lead-gray Pocket Watch, calling for Lumi.
A moment later, ripples spread through the air. The Ship Spirit released the massive Nether Abyss from the Impenetrable Fortress, and it settled onto the sea in a burst of white spray.
Adrian flew down to the Nether Abyss's deck.
Louf came over, about to say something, but immediately noticed the white Justice Coat he was wearing.
"Sniff, sniff~"
Little Fox ran behind Adrian, grabbed the coat, and held it to her nose.
"This... smells like a woman!
"Adrian-sama! Didn't you say you were going to give the Marines trouble?"
Adrian glanced at his shoulder and saw the Rear Admiral's insignia and the white cape. He paused.
He knew Zephyr and the Marine recruit ship were headed to the Drum Kingdom next.
He also knew there was nothing strange about chatting with the Marines after a fight.
But asking them to give him a ride straight to Alabasta...
That was never going to happen!
The only pirates allowed aboard a Marine warship were defeated prisoners and members of the Shichibukai.
Adrian was neither.
That was why, after making his declaration, he had left the
