When Adrian had accepted the [Millennium Dragon] quest from Dr. Kureha, she had only asked him to provide two sets of Millennium Dragon bones. In return, he would receive the miraculous, life-extending [Millennium Medicine].
Perhaps Dr. Kureha had little confidence that Adrian would actually encounter the legendary Millennium Dragons, however, because she had offered no detailed explanation of them at the time, only mentioning them in passing.
