Fisher Tiger watched calmly as a burly slave tore a terrified, sobbing "refined noble" into two halves at the waist. Not a flicker of emotion crossed his face.
Still conscious, the noble dragged the upper half of his body across the filthy arena floor, leaving a glaring crimson trail. As that trail lengthened, his once-powerful wails gradually weakened until they were barely audible, and he breathed his last.
"All right, Mr. Fisher Tiger. The slaves here have been freed," Dragon said. "We should move on to the next place."
Fisher Tiger stared at Dragon for a long moment. "I don't know what the Revolutionary Army's true objective is... but as long as you're willing to free slaves, we're on the same side! Let's go!"
The group vanished beneath the ground again, heading for the next location, and then the one after that.
