Konoha.
Inside the Hokage Office.
Obito explained his plan to harness the might of the entire planet to defect to the enemy (scratch that).
To fight the Ōtsutsuki, he told Minato and the others.
Minato took a sip of tea, finding Obito's approach rather objectionable.
"Obito, this is a matter of enormous consequence. You should have discussed it with us first."
Kakashi nodded, leaning against the wall as he added,
"This is a huge gamble. If we lose, humanity will be utterly defeated."
Obito rubbed his chin and said with a grin,
"There's no way to discuss something like this. When their own interests are involved, some people just won't see sense."
"The Ōtsutsuki would probably attack before we reached a decision. Humanity would be doomed all the same."
Minato and Kakashi fell silent.
If Obito hadn't "acted unilaterally," that was most likely how things would have played out...
Seeing their reactions, Obito shrugged and said,
"That's right. It's an all-or-nothing gamble, and I'm betting everything I have that I'll win."
"But my own chips aren't enough, so I had to bring everyone else to the table."
ε=(´ο`*))) Sigh.
Minato set down his teacup and said with a wry smile,
"At this point, there's nothing more I can say as your teacher. As long as you know what you're doing."
His student's growth had long since exceeded his expectations—even his understanding!
That left Minato feeling both proud and helpless.
Because there seemed to be nothing he could do to help his student anymore!
Obito chuckled, sat on Minato's desk, and said,
"Minato-sensei, this is the perfect opportunity to reshape the shinobi world.
I think Konoha should seize this chance and ride the tide."
Minato's eyes lit up, his mind immediately springing into action.
"Then, Obito, I'll leave this to..."
