"This is my Weather Bureau."
Azisa stood in front of a huge rectangular net, pointing at a large red house behind her that looked as though it had just been repaired.
Two Pidgey anemometers stood on its pitched roof, and there also seemed to be a small wind power generator out back.
"Was this... a tornado?"
Dian walked up to the house, examined the repairs, and asked uncertainly.
Although the tornado earlier had indeed been terrifying, he felt it had to have been a Pokémon's handiwork. It should not have reached this far.
Besides, sudden gales were perfectly normal on a plain like this, so he could not be certain it had been the same tornado he had experienced.
"You knew about it too, Dian?"
Azisa sounded surprised, then seemed to recall something. "Right, the forest you came out of seems to have been within the disaster zone too."
"What I saw was only a small tornado, but after crossing this plain, it suddenly grew enormous. It even triggered thunderstorms in the Northern Forest, and the damage there seems to have been especially severe."
When Azisa talked about the weather, her expression became intensely focused and serious. She certainly lived up to her title as a weather forecaster—or, more accurately, a weather researcher.
After seeing the large rectangular net nearby, Dian realized that Azisa was probably doing more than forecasting the weather here. She must have been conducting meteorological research as well, and likely already had some ideas of her own.
Dian could not help feeling impressed. In her place, once he had food and shelter taken care of, he would have long since gone off to enjoy life and idle away his days.
After all, reaching even the nearest town from here meant crossing at least a small mountain
