The Trident thrust toward Deathstroke's chest. Deathstroke closed his eyes. "Thaddeus Ross—"

But the blow that should have pierced his chest never landed. When Deathstroke opened his eyes, he found a man in a blue-and-red bodysuit with a red cape standing before him, gripping the other end of the Trident.

"Who are you?" Aquaman, Arthur Curry, stared at Superman. He kept pushing harder, but the Trident would not budge.

Superman did not answer his question. Instead, he said, "Mr. Roland said I only need to beat you half to death."

Enraged by such a dismissive reply, Aquaman shouted, "Ocean Master!"

"Yes, my brother," Ocean Master, Orm Marius, answered.

"Leave none alive!"

"Yes!"

But the instant Orm finished speaking, Superman glanced sideways at him. His Heat Vision blasted Orm in the chest, sending him flying.

Then Superman took flight, still gripping the Trident. Since Aquaman could draw strength from the sea, fighting in the sky would give Superman the advantage.

"Where do you think you're going?" Aquaman held the Trident with one hand and clenched the other into a fist, swinging at Superman's head.

Superman raised his elbow to block. Aquaman's fist struck his Iron Body with a dull thud.

"So hard!" Aquaman felt his fist go numb, but he kept hammering Superman with punch after punch.

"You've already lost," Superman said. They had now reached an altitude of eight thousand meters. Aquaman could no longer draw on the sea's power, while Superman was a little closer to the sun, the strength within him surging even more fiercely. His iron fists came crashing down, and with Freeze Breath added to the assault, he soon knocked Aquaman unconscious.

Gotham City.

"Why did you bring him back?" Roland looked rather bewildered as Superman returned with Aquaman.

"I knocked him unconscious during our fight.
