"Good morning, Coast City." Green Lantern pulled back the curtains of his hotel room and gazed at the familiar city outside, his heart full of emotion.

"Morning." The Flash sat up in the other bed. "Find anything?"

"Nothing." Green Lantern shook his head. "It's exactly the Coast City I remember—except I don't exist here."

"That doesn't make sense." Roland frowned. "What about your parents?"

"My dad's still a test pilot for Ferris Aircraft, and my mom mostly keeps to herself at home. Nothing seems wrong," Green Lantern said. "Except that they don't have a son."

"That's very wrong," The Flash muttered.

"What did Oa say?" Roland asked.

"Nothing unusual has happened there, either. Sinestro's even still a Green Lantern," Green Lantern said. "They're just curious about who I am. Even the Book of Oa has no record of a Green Lantern named Hal Jordan."

"That's..." Neither Roland nor Green Lantern knew what to make of it.

"Don't tell me we've landed in a world where I don't exist." Green Lantern shook his head. "It doesn't feel like it."

"I've got an idea," The Flash said after a moment's thought. "I'll run back in time and see if something happened."

"That works." Green Lantern nodded. "Should we go together?"

"No need." The Flash took his starting stance. "I'll be right back."

In an instant, The Flash vanished, and the space-time around them blurred for a moment.

"He seems to have gotten even faster," Green Lantern said after a pause.

"Yeah." Roland nodded. "But... did he get his return time wrong? Shouldn't he be back by now?"

"Maybe he's planning to play a prank on us." Green Lantern shrugged, unworried. This was The Flash, after all. Few opponents in the Multiverse could beat him, much less keep him from leaving.
