"Hiss..." As he thought it over, Green Arrow started agonizing too, looking rather in sync with Green Lantern.

"You two really do have the same paranoid streak," Roland quipped. "Why did you have to scare him?"

"I wasn't trying to scare him. I only told him what I knew," Donna said. "I don't know why, but I have this feeling that Uncle Oliver's worries will become part of what makes the prophecy come true."

"That's a good thing." Roy looked positively delighted at the prospect of more trouble. "Judging by Wonder Woman's reaction, neither of them is going to die. If they can still face the end of the world without their lives being in danger, this ought to be interesting. Let's sit back and enjoy the show."

"Such a loving father and dutiful son..." Jason sighed.

"This is—" Kara started, but Roy hurriedly cut her off. "Let's talk about something else. Oh, right, why isn't Superboy-Prime here?"

"Who knows?" Kara shook her head. "Why don't you ask Clark? Those two seem pretty close."

"Oh, him..." Superman walked over with a glass of champagne and smiled. "He's in California rescuing a plane that's going down."

"Did you just smile at me?" Green Lantern gave Superman a wary look.

"This is Superman. Aren't you getting a little too jumpy?" Roland was speechless. With Superman's character, surely he wouldn't set him up?

But when Roland looked at Superman, he suddenly felt that his judgment might have been a little off. "Clark... what the hell is that expression?"

"Huh? Nothing..." Superman couldn't suppress his grin. "I remembered something funny."

"Heh." Lex Luthor rolled his eyes. He had already seen through everything with his telepathy.

"Wait, why are you here?" Roland suddenly realized something was wrong.

"That story starts last night." Lex Luthor picked
