The auction

"Huh?" Jason had no idea what he meant.

"Nothing. Just be careful around him," Roland said. He still hadn't received any redemption value from Penguin. Who knew what that guy was plotting?

Jason soon found a professional construction company, and work began on rebuilding the church.

"Father, what do you think of a Gothic roof?"

"Is it expensive?"

"Uh... it would cost a little more... How about a Romanesque arch structure, then?"

"Is it expensive?"

"...A flat roof wouldn't cost much, but you're building a church." The designer was a little speechless. This client might not have many requirements, but he certainly wasn't easy to please.

"Then... I'll leave the design to you," Roland said after some thought. He knew absolutely nothing about architecture and was in no position to tell an expert what to do.

"Then we'll go with a Romanesque design, to distinguish it from Gotham Cathedral's Gothic style. Thick walls, rounded vaults, long corridors, and massive pillars. The only issue is that the thick walls won't allow for very large windows, so it'll be a little dim inside."

"That's not a big problem." Roland thought it over. With Gotham City's weather, it would be gloomy even with large windows. It hardly made a difference.

"If that's all settled, we'll get things ready," the designer said.

Roland nodded. "I'll leave things here to you, then. Jason, let's go."

"Where are we going?" Jason asked as he was called over.

"To sell a few things and help cover our expenses. Building a church costs a lot of money."

"Sure. I know a secondhand shop. Let's go."

"What secondhand shop? We're going to Wayne Auction House!" Roland climbed onto his motorcycle.

"You're taking that junk of yours to an auction house?" Jason gave Roland a strange look. "Are you serious?
