Not a Single Silver Coin Less

No upper limit! Those words were terrifying. That meant every Goblin was a walking silver coin. Even for a level-two adventurer, that was no small temptation: a hundred Goblins equaled one gold coin.

There might not be enough Goblins for so many adventurers to divide among themselves, but everyone could still earn a little money.

"It's time for you to go adventuring. Go, adventurers of Blue Town!" Rukta swept his great hand through the air, his powerful voice reaching everyone in the Guild hall.

"Raaah!!! Woohoo!!! Aaaah!!!"

In an instant, the entire adventurers' hall boiled over with excitement. In less than ten seconds, every adventurer had cleared out, apart from the four members of Kana's Squad.

It wasn't that they didn't want to hunt Goblins, but Guildmaster Rukta had asked all four of them to stay, along with counter supervisor Yue Sisi, hall supervisor Guligus, and the fat, middle-aged swindler.

The fat swindler also breathed a sigh of relief when he saw that the four-person party hadn't left. Merchants like him feared unreasonable adventurers most of all, especially those who simply dusted off their backsides and walked away. They were a merchant's worst nightmare, because merchants had very few ways to deal with adventurers.

"All right, it's quiet now," Rukta said with a sigh. There had been too many people earlier, making it all too easy for Guligus to sway them.

After all, eliminating a party with level-five honor standing was good news for any other party. Every level-five honor party was a formidable competitor.

Thus, these adventurers had all simply been fanning the flames. Even if they discovered that Guligus was a terrifying threat, dealing with him would still come second to eliminating a party with level-five honor standing.

"All right, now it's time for me, as guildmaster, to make the final judgment!" Rukta turned to Kana. "Miss Kana, what do you think?" As he spoke, he lowered his head slightly.

Though it was only a slight bow of his head, it still showed that Kana's status was anything but ordinary. Of course, Rukta knew nothing of her true identity. Otherwise, he would have done far more than merely lower his head.

"You're the guildmaster, so naturally, the decision is yours. This isn't my place to interfere!" Kana said, shaking her head. She didn't want to draw too much attention to herself.

"Understood!" Rukta had roughly guessed Kana's meaning and smoothly took control of the situation. At least, that was how he saw it.

To everyone else in the hall, however, leaving the matter to the guildmaster was the proper choice, while Kana seemed more like a younger member of some distinguished family.

Guligus sensed that things were going badly. From the looks of it, the guildmaster was clearly siding with Kana's Squad. That in itself didn't matter, but now Yue Sisi, the counter supervisor, was clearly inseparable from them.

And what worried him was precisely Yue Sisi, the woman who was about to climb over his head. In an instant, Guligus's mood turned utterly foul.

He had intended to seize this opportunity to cause Yue Sisi some trouble first, delaying the day she climbed over his head while he thought of a way to lower her rank in the Adventurers' Guild—or kick her out of the Guild altogether.

But now his little schemes were about to fall through. Who could have known that the guildmaster, who hardly ever involved himself in anything, would suddenly stick his nose into this affair, colliding with his plans at exactly the wrong moment?

As for the fat swindler, he was still lost in fantasies of recovering most of his silver coins. After all, that was twenty silver coins. Even if it wasn't a particularly large sum, he still wanted to pay out as little as possible. Besides, he now held the crucial point in his hands, with reason and evidence on his side.

Thus, the swindler was far more optimistic than Guligus, the hall supervisor. He even thought the guildmaster had come out to uphold his so-called justice.

"Hall Supervisor Guligus, I already understand what happened. I can tell you very clearly that Kana's Squad completed the Bounty Mission perfectly. And beyond that, they brought even more important intelligence to our Blue Town!" Guildmaster Rukta didn't beat around the bush.

Leaving the hall supervisor not a shred of dignity, he continued, "I'm very disappointed in you over this matter, Guligus. From this moment on, you are no longer the hall supervisor of Blue Town's Adventurers' Guild. You are no longer a member of the Adventurers' Guild, either. You can get out!" Rukta delivered that last sentence in a fierce, stern shout.

Get out!

Those words sent the old man Guligus stumbling several steps backward. "No! Even if you're the guildmaster, you can't strip me of my position so easily! I won't accept this! Rukta, do you know who's backing me? Have you thought carefully about dismissing me?"

A trace of madness appeared in Guligus's eyes. How could he possibly accept this instant reversal of right and wrong?

"Precisely because I'm the guildmaster, I can strip you of your position. Don't even think about getting your pension, either," Rukta said expressionlessly, as though he no longer wanted to waste even a facial expression on this old man.

Yue Sisi had been too furious to speak a moment earlier, but now she was as radiant as a blossoming flower. Although she didn't know why the guildmaster had suddenly made this decision, the outcome was a very good one.

Perhaps this little boy brought me good luck! With that thought, Yue Sisi cast Dean an intrigued, flirtatious glance.

Dean had never expected Mousse's older sister to do something like that. He stood rooted to the spot, unsure what to do, and finally settled for doing nothing at all and pretending he hadn't seen it.

"Little Mage Dean, what did you do to her?" Kana's icy voice, tinged with annoyance, suddenly reached him. Naturally, she had seen it too. Standing at the same angle as Dean, she couldn't have seen it more clearly.

Lamore, meanwhile, wore an impressed expression. He said nothing, but Dean, Kana, and Yanxi could more or less guess what he was thinking.

When did you get so good at this, you little rascal? When did you chat up that pretty young lady? Your tricks are even better than mine! Those were probably the words Lamore wanted to say. All three of them could already feel it coming.

Lamore suddenly felt very awkward. The other three were looking at him strangely, making him feel as though he were the odd one. He merely had a few little questions for Dean; it was just that this wasn't quite the right occasion.

"Shh, is this really the time to talk about that? Hurry up and see how much of our Bounty Mission reward we can get back. Every extra silver coin counts!" Dean hurriedly changed the subject. Thankfully, it worked wonderfully. The moment the three heard that it concerned how many silver coins they could get, each paid closer attention than the last.

"Dean, once this is over, we'll have a nice, long chat about that pretty older lady. That pretty older lady!" Just as Dean breathed a sigh of relief, Kana suddenly gave a wicked smile and whispered into his ear.
