Heavy rain continued to lash the sea, and occasional thunderclaps kept Meloetta from daring to peek out. It huddled cautiously inside Mingyou's bag, accompanied by the warm Light Stone, and carried on with what it was doing.
Miraidon spread the light wings on its head and cut through the curtain of rain. Before the falling drops could touch it, the heat of its electricity vaporized them.
Akari sat in front, with Mingyou behind her. He wrapped one arm around her waist, gripped the strap of his bag with the other, and kept a close watch on any movement inside.
After receiving word from Calyrex, they had rushed over without stopping. They had planned to leave Flutter Mane and the others behind to look after Meloetta.
But for the first time, the little one had insisted on coming along. It did not even want to stay in its Poké Ball. After a thousand years, it wanted to see the Abyssal Ruins again.
What could he do? If that was its wish... Mingyou would not refuse.
"They're already fighting!"
Akari noticed it first. It had been a long time since she had been caught up in something involving a Legendary Pokémon, and deep down, she could hardly contain herself.
The moment she said it, Miraidon's gaze sharpened. The one who had ambushed it last time was over there!
Mingyou looked up toward the lightning flashing in the distance. Ignoring the warmth against his right hand, he murmured, "Zekrom... Team Rocket has some real firepower, but this doesn't seem as fierce as I expected."
"Maybe they're testing each other?"
Akari ventured.
Mingyou shook his head slightly. They would get closer, watch for a while, then decide what to do...
Inside the Destroyer, the damaged port side was undergoing emergency repairs. Ghetsis sat in
