Summer vacation ended in the blink of an eye. After the students left the next day, all of Kitakami seemed to fall quiet, waiting to awaken again at next year's Festival of Masks.

Mingyou hadn't gone to see Akari off. It wasn't as though they would never meet again. Meetings came with partings, whether with people or Pokémon. That was one of the wonderful flavors of the Pokémon world that everyone had to taste.

And so, after that brief summer vacation ended, another half month soon slipped by...

Mingyou didn't know what happened afterward regarding the Eternal Forest, but the administrators really hadn't come looking for trouble. They had simply treated the whole thing as a case of memory loss.
