Uchiha Yufeng strengthened his ties with Konoha’s ninja while helping Naruto graduate and guiding the new teams. As Team 7 set out to protect Tazuna, Yufeng began teaching Uchiha Mikoto the Yin Seal.

• Uchiha Yufeng encouraged Uchiha Hikari to trust others, drew the White Zetsu out of her body, and destroyed it with Amaterasu.
• Uchiha Yufeng organized the Uchiha Clan Police Force, advised Uchiha Itachi about his Akatsuki assignment, and helped Yakushi Kabuto choose his path while assuring him the orphanage would remain his home.
• Uchiha Yufeng trained Naruto, helped Kakashi leave the Anbu, and watched Naruto fail his Clone Jutsu exam before Mizuki led him away.
• Naruto learned the Multiple Shadow Clone Jutsu from the forbidden scroll, passed his retest, and received his forehead protector from Iruka.
• The Third Hokage assigned the new graduates to teams, and Yuhi Kurenai and Uchiha Yufeng began training Team 8 while Kakashi took Team 7.
• Uchiha Yufeng comforted Uzuki Yugao after she challenged him with her Kusanagi Sword, and she tearfully asked him to take her.
• Team 7 received a C-rank mission to protect Tazuna, while Uchiha Yufeng reassured Uchiha Mikoto and began teaching her the Yin Seal.

Uchiha Yufeng defeated Uchiha Homura, helped Terumi Mei stabilize Kirigakure, and returned to Konoha as the Chunin Selection Exams approached. The arc ended with Second Pillar drawing attention from fellow exam candidates.

• Kakashi’s team fought Momochi Zabuza and Haku on the Land of Waves mission, and Haku defeated Naruto and Second Pillar before leaving them alive.
• Uchiha Yufeng visited Kirigakure, where Terumi Mei revealed Karatachi Yagura’s history and her plans to reform the village.
• Uchiha Yufeng trapped Uchiha Homura in the Kamui Dimension, defeated him, and explained that Uchiha Madara’s plans had been manipulated.
• Uchiha Yufeng and Terumi Mei secured support for Kirigakure’s reforms, while Konan informed Deva Path Pain that Yufeng was in the village.
• The Third Hokage announced the Chunin Selection Exams, and Iruka conducted a Preliminary Exam that all nine rookies passed.
• Uchiha Izumi brought Fū, Karin, and Hozuki Suigetsu to Yufeng’s former residence, while Yufeng returned to Konoha and watched Naruto and Second Pillar encounter Gaara’s group.
• At Classroom 301, Second Pillar challenged two guards, and Rock Lee stopped them before the confrontation escalated.

As the Chunin Exams tested Konoha’s rookies, Uchiha Yufeng intervened in a clash between Fū and Gaara and investigated the forces manipulating the Tailed Beasts. After the preliminary rounds, he took over Team 7’s training while the village prepared for the final exam.

• Rock Lee defeated Second Pillar in a sparring match, but Might Guy stopped Lee when he began a forbidden technique, and Yufeng warned the rookies that Chunin Exam registration was closing.
• Yufeng used the written exam to test the Genin, then left after Konan told him Black and White Zetsu had recruited Uchiha Hikari and were pressing Nagato to help subdue the Tailed Beasts.
• Yufeng restored Namikaze Minato by having Gato perform the Reaper Death Seal, and Minato awoke healthy and stronger after reaching an understanding with the Nine-Tails.
• Yufeng and Uchiha Izumi secretly tested the examinees in the forest, where they watched several rookie teams use teamwork and challenged Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura.
• Fū, Suigetsu, and Karin fought Gaara in the forest, and Yufeng sealed Gaara and Fū inside a barrier while their Tailed Beast forms battled.
• Fū urged Gaara to seek meaning without killing, and Gaara refused to withdraw from the exams after Yufeng healed him.
• Yufeng left the Chunin Exam proceedings to investigate Utakata’s defection, suspected Black and White Zetsu had deceived him, and promised Terumi Mei they would uncover the truth.
• After Sasuke and Naruto advanced, Yufeng took over Team 7’s training with Rin’s help, set Fū, Suigetsu, and Karin as their opponents, and challenged the students to improve before the final round.

Uchiha Yufeng trained Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura while helping Rock Lee recover, and Naruto defeated Neji in the Chunin Exams. As the exams continued, Yufeng investigated threats around Konoha and Shisui fought Orochimaru and the newcomers attacking the village.

• Uchiha Yufeng assessed Rock Lee’s injuries and told him he should stop being a ninja, but later performed surgery after Lee chose to risk it.
• Uchiha Yufeng taught Naruto the Summoning Jutsu and trained Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura in their chakra natures and specialized techniques.
• Uchiha Yufeng reunited Nohara Rin with Namikaze Minato’s message, confessed his feelings to her, and began a relationship with her.
• Naruto defeated Neji after breaking through his chakra blockade with the Nine-Tails Chakra and overpowering his Revolving Heaven with a Rasengan, before Uchiha Yufeng stopped the final blow.
• Uchiha Yufeng encountered Sasuke, Mirai, and Boruto outside Konoha and arranged for them to attend the Chunin Exams.
• Namikaze Minato gave Uchiha Yufeng a message from the Queen of Rōran and reported unusual Chakra near the Land of Fire’s borders.
• Uchiha Yufeng and the Third Hokage confronted Rasa over bringing Gaara to the exams, while Orochimaru and his allies began attacking Konoha.
• Uchiha Shisui fought Orochimaru and the girl, using his Mangekyō Sharingan to turn her Amaterasu net against Black and White Zetsu.
