Background / History

Sacrifice and Tang Hao

Ah Yin was Tang Hao’s wife and a Hundred-Thousand-Year Blue Silver Emperor. After sacrificing herself, she survived as a hundred-year plant in a cave behind a waterfall near Holy Soul Village. Her Hundred-Thousand-Year Blue Silver Emperor Right Leg Bone was hidden there separately 1 3 14.

In an early simulation, Su Ming stole both the bone and her plant body. Ah Yin was too weak to prevent him from absorbing the bone, and he later left her in a forest while pursuing the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well 1.

Su Wu’s Simulation: Recovery and a New Family

In Su Wu’s simulated future, he and Dugu Bo raided Tang Hao’s hideout and replanted Ah Yin beside the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well. Their discussion suggested that Tang Hao had knowingly exposed her Soul Beast identity and engineered her sacrifice. Ah Yin overheard them but initially could not bear to examine the possibility 3 4.

Su Wu later told her that her infant son had died and that another person occupied Tang San’s body. She eventually visited Tang San herself and concluded that he was not truly her child. Although Su Wu helped restore her cultivation to 130,000 years, both remained isolated and miserable at the well 6 8.

In simulation year twenty-two, Ah Yin confessed her feelings to the unresponsive Su Wu and forced herself on him. He subsequently recognized the encounter as wrong, but accepted responsibility for their pregnancy and chose to become a father. They left the well, settled at the Dugu Residence, and welcomed their daughter, Su Yin’er, in year twenty-three 9.

Ah Yin and Dugu Yan raised Su Yin’er carefully, hoping to keep her from repeating their own painful experiences. When Di Tian offered to bring the girl into the Soul Beast faction, her parents accompanied her to the Lake of Life. There, the Silver Dragon King swallowed Su Yin’er. Su Wu sent Ah Yin a thousand miles away before making his fatal attack on the dragon 11 12 13.

Rescue in the Main Timeline

After that simulation ended, the real Ah Yin experienced its events as a vivid, uncertain dream. The sense of family she remembered was unlike anything she had felt with Tang Hao 13.

Su Ming then retrieved her and her Soul Bone from the waterfall cave six years earlier than the timing he had originally planned around. Tang Hao attacked without regard for her safety and subsequently shouted that he had paraded her before Spirit Hall because she had not willingly sacrificed herself. Hearing his accusations convinced Ah Yin that he had treated her as a tool 14.

Ah Yin clung to Su Ming and begged him not to abandon her. He reluctantly agreed to keep her with him and planted her in a golden toilet used as a makeshift container 14 15.

Later Simulations and Memory Loss

In the next simulation, Su Ming left Ah Yin in the Blue Silver Forest while travelling to the Far North. When he returned with the Snow Empress and Ice Empress, she accepted their presence with little jealousy, though she worried about losing her position as his principal partner. She regarded multiple mates as normal among powerful Soul Beasts 15 16.

A later portion of that simulated future left both Ah Yin and Su Ming without memories of their earlier relationship. After Dugu Yan and Ye Lingling died, Ah Yin became his only remaining companion. He protected her from poison and left her beside the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well before entering a long sleep. By his awakening in year 200, the surrounding Immortal Herbs had consumed her; he preserved her remaining seeds 26 27.

Tang San’s Adoption and Divine Realm Life

Back in reality, Ah Yin returned to the Blue Silver Forest with Su Ming. She identified him as a friend to the Blue Silver King, although her embarrassment led the King to assume that he was her husband. As her cultivation recovered, she became increasingly talkative and familiar with Su Ming 32 33.

In the ensuing simulation, Ah Yin initially opposed caring for Tang San because she did not regard the person occupying his body as her son. She nevertheless joined Su Ming’s plan to win his trust. Their years of care led Tang San to move into their home and request adoption at age four. At Ah Yin’s request, Su Ming secretly removed her direct bloodline—and Tang Hao’s—from Tang San using an altered medicinal herb 34.

Ah Yin raised Tang San with warmth and discipline, helped teach him about Soul Masters, and participated in researching Su Ming’s insight-granting headpats. She also became dependent on receiving the headpats herself 35 37 38.

In simulation year fourteen, she confronted the crippled Tang Hao over his betrayal, nearly strangled him with her vines, and castrated him before leaving. She subsequently became pregnant and gave birth to another version of Su Yin’er 44 45.

In year twenty, Ah Yin, the Snow Empress, and the Ice Empress willingly sacrificed themselves to Tang San’s Clear Sky Hammer. Tang San asked to delay Ah Yin’s sacrifice because Su Yin’er could not bear the separation, but Su Ming refused. Tang San later revived all three women while bringing the family into the Divine Realm 45 46.

Ah Yin received privileged access to the Forest of Life because the Life God King had taken Su Yin’er into her care. This simulated future ultimately ended when the Divine Realm was consumed inside the Divine Emperor’s body and its inhabitants dissolved into blood mist 48 49.

Memories Reaching Reality

Su Ming noticed that Ah Yin alone appeared to retain fragments from his simulations. He suspected that their shared simulated child might explain it, but could not establish the cause. After taking a Transformation Herb in reality, Ah Yin recovered more fragments and confronted him about whether he remembered her. He fled rather than address her interest 50.

After recovering memories from two simulations, Ah Yin showed resentment toward his teasing. Su Ming temporarily quieted her thoughts with Ming’s Fatherly Headbonk. They then disguised themselves and arranged Tang San’s adoption in Holy Soul Village 53.

Family Life and the Federation Future

In another simulation, Ah Yin helped develop Spring Autumn Sausage while caring for the mentally regressed Bibi Dong, then known as Dong’er. Unaware of Dong’er’s identity, she pitied her and took over her household chores. After learning the truth, Ah Yin struggled with it but eventually welcomed Bibi Dong as a sworn younger sister 54 56.

Ah Yin named Su Ming and Bibi Dong’s daughter Su Zhiying and later gave birth to Su Yin’er again. Her household expanded to include Bibi Dong and, eventually, Qian Renxue. She and Bibi Dong accompanied Su Ming on a honeymoon after he handed his administrative responsibilities to Qian Renxue 57 59 64.

During the Abyss conflict, Ah Yin fought newly created Abyss Emperors with assistance from Su Ming’s clones. She later objected to his prolonged torture of the captive Silver Dragon King, despite regarding the dragon as an enemy 66 69.

This future ended disastrously for her during the Mother of Crimson’s invasion. Ah Yin, Ah Rou, the Ice Empress, and the Snow Empress were killed and absorbed as energy by the Crimson Plane while Su Ming was away 72.

Appearance

  • Plant body: Blue Silver Grass with leaves and mobile vines. In her weakened state, she winds vines around Su Ming’s arm or finger to cling to him 14 32.
  • Phantom: Can project a speaking phantom once her cultivation recovers sufficiently 33.
  • Adult human form: Described as a beautiful woman during Su Wu’s simulation 8 9.
  • Low-cultivation human form: The transformation herb produces a childlike appearance when she has only thousand-year cultivation. This form grows slowly, still appearing about six or seven years old in simulation year fourteen 33 38 44.

Personality

Ah Yin is affectionate, eager for reassurance, and deeply attached to the family she remembers from simulations. Tang Hao’s attack and insults leave her desperate for safety, while her growing familiarity with Su Ming makes her increasingly talkative, playful, and openly demonstrative 14 33 37 39.

Her compassion extends beyond her immediate family. She accepts Dugu Yan as Su Yin’er’s godmother, takes over Dong’er’s chores out of pity, and objects to tormenting the Silver Dragon King even when the dragon is an enemy 9 54 69.

Her attachment can also become possessive and coercive. She fears losing her special place beside Su Ming, becomes hurt by his romantic avoidance, and in Su Wu’s simulation initiates intimacy without his consent. Her tolerance of multiple partners does not eliminate her desire to be loved preferentially 9 16 53 60.

Toward Tang Hao, her initial reluctance to question their past eventually turns into anger and vindictiveness. Once convinced of his betrayal, she seeks direct revenge rather than reconciliation 4 14 44.

Abilities & Skills

Blue Silver Emperor Vines

  • Shapes vines into furniture and shelter, including a hammock for Su Ming 33.
  • Uses vines to cling to others and form written words when speech is unavailable 14 33.
  • Can rapidly grow vines from the ground to restrain and choke a target 44.

Communication and Imperial Authority

  • Sends messages to the Blue Silver King even while too weak to converse normally with Su Ming 33.
  • Her emperor bloodline exerts suppression recognizable to Blue Silver Grass subjects 33.
  • At thousand-year cultivation, can converse through a projected phantom 33.
  • Her weakened communication can exhaust her remaining energy, as shown when she begs Su Ming not to leave 14.

Herb-Assisted Transformation

  • A special Immortal Herb allows her to retain her Soul Beast strength and true body while appearing human 11.
  • This form carries no Soul Beast aura and is indistinguishable from an ordinary person 11.
  • Her resulting appearance depends on her recovered cultivation; transformation at thousand-year strength produces a very young-looking body 33.

Simulation Memory Retention

  • Experiences alternate lives as dreams or fragmented memories after simulations end 13 50.
  • Recognizes Su Ming before their expected meeting and recalls the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well as a means of recovering human form 14.
  • Further memories surface after consuming a Transformation Herb 50.
  • The cause remains unresolved; Su Ming’s theory that their simulated child is responsible is only a hypothesis 50.

Herbal Knowledge and Research

  • Recognizes most of the Immortal Herbs at the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well 34.
  • Helps investigate the mind-clearing effects and dependency associated with Ming’s Fatherly Headpat 37.
  • Develops versions of Spring Autumn Sausage with the Snow Empress and later with the protagonist; experimental versions alter the Ice Empress’s appearance and regress Bibi Dong’s body and mind 42 54.

Equipment / Items

  • Hundred-Thousand-Year Blue Silver Emperor Right Leg Bone — Her surviving Soul Bone, hidden in the waterfall cave. Its ownership changes between timelines: Su Ming absorbs it in an early simulation, gives it to Dugu Bo in another, and supplies a bone of this type to Tang San in the adoption simulation 1 4 14 37.
  • Golden toilet planter — Su Ming’s makeshift container for her sleeping plant body after rescuing her in reality 15.
  • Forest of Life green pass — Gift from the Life God King in the Divine Realm simulation. Permits Ah Yin and up to five companions to enter freely without flight restrictions or other obstacles 48.

Relationships

  • Su Ming / his simulated counterparts — Protector, companion, and husband in multiple simulated lives. Ah Yin’s retained memories bring that attachment into reality before Su Ming is prepared to reciprocate 9 14 50.
  • Tang Hao — Former husband and recipient of her sacrifice. His reckless attack and accusations convince her that he sought her Soul Ring and Soul Bone rather than loved her 14 44.
  • Tang San — Her biological child’s body, whose current occupant she concludes is not truly her son. In later simulations she becomes his adoptive mother and helps raise him; they also arrange his adoption in reality 8 34 53.
  • Su Yin’er — Biological daughter with Su Ming’s simulated counterparts. Ah Yin raises her protectively across several futures and suffers both her death and a later separation through sacrifice 9 13 45.
  • Dugu Yan — Fellow caregiver and Su Yin’er’s godmother in Su Wu’s simulation. Ah Yin accepts her out of compassion 9 11.
  • Blue Silver King — Loyal subordinate who celebrates her return to the Blue Silver Forest and mistakenly assumes Su Ming is her husband 33.
  • Snow Empress and Ice Empress — Fellow household partners in several simulations; share research and domestic life with her 16 42 48.
  • Bibi Dong / Dong’er — Initially a regressed child in Ah Yin’s care, later an accepted sworn younger sister and fellow wife of Su Ming in one simulated future 54 56 64.
  • Su Zhiying — Su Ming and Bibi Dong’s daughter; Ah Yin chooses her name despite her initial anger over the circumstances 57.
  • Qian Renxue — Fellow partner in the federation simulation. Ah Yin welcomes her pregnancy and later helps teach her childcare 64 66.
  • Life God King — Takes Su Yin’er into her care and compensates Ah Yin with privileged access to the Forest of Life 46 48.
  • Silver Dragon King — Kills Su Yin’er in Su Wu’s simulation. Despite that remembered enmity, Ah Yin opposes torturing her in a later future where the killing has not occurred 13 69.
