After leaving the Ning clan, Ning Chengyi awakened his second Martial Soul, grew stronger through death matches, and entered Heaven Dou Royal Academy under Xue Qinghe’s direction. His training led to a mission against Evil Soul Masters, where he rescued Zhu Zhuqing and began attacking the Blue Silver Gang.

• Ning Chengyi left the Ning clan, fought Little Black to the death, and awakened the Phantom Butterfly Spirit Tide, which healed him and raised his Soul Power to level twelve.
• Ning Chengyi encountered Bibi Dong in the Sunset Forest, rescued and cared for her, then absorbed a thousand-year soul ring she obtained for him before heading to the Great Soul Arena.
• Ning Chengyi fought under the name Azu, killed several opponents, and attracted Xue Qinghe’s attention by defeating the Sword Venerable.
• Ning Chengyi joined Heaven Dou Royal Academy and confronted the unruly Heavenly Apex Class, while Su Yao took charge of his training and Xue Qinghe and Bibi Dong made plans involving him.
• Ning Chengyi trained intensely, defeated the class’s students, and sparred with Su Yao before accepting Xue Qinghe’s mission to rescue the Sword Venerable’s beloved from Evil Soul Masters.
• Ning Chengyi infiltrated the Blue Silver Gang’s transport and killed its members, then freed two captive women and left the Sword Venerable’s beloved with She Long.
• Ning Chengyi found Zhu Zhuqing attacking the gang’s camp, rescued her after she was wounded, and treated her injuries as they gradually began working together.
• Ning Chengyi and Zhu Zhuqing entered the Blue Silver Gang’s territory, where Ning Chengyi killed guards and attacked a patrol as Zhu Zhuqing joined the fight.

Ning Chengyi joined the Heavenly Apex Class, helped it defeat the Imperial Fighting Team, then traveled to the Star Dou Great Forest with She Long. There he reunited with a weakened Bibi Dong, helped her obtain the Twin Spider Brightflower, absorbed a rare soul bone and a new soul ring, and prepared to return with her to Small Town as Li Huo plotted revenge.

• Ning Chengyi joined the Heavenly Apex Class’s match against the Imperial Fighting Team, defeated Dugu Yan and Yu Tianheng, and used poison to secure his team’s victory.
• Bibi Dong mistakenly consumed the Twin Spider Nether Flower, lost much of her strength, and was cared for by Zhu Qianxun and his wife while Ning Chengyi left for the Star Dou Great Forest.
• Ning Chengyi joined Bibi Dong’s large escort party, which Li Qiuping and the Fierce Wolf Group ambushed with Beast-Luring Incense to trigger a beast tide and seize Miss Zhu.
• Bibi Dong revealed her Soul Ancestor strength and fought off the Fierce Wolf Group, then she and Ning Chengyi fell from a cliff while escaping a Blazing Demon Ape and took shelter in a cave.
• Ning Chengyi found the hidden chamber containing the Twin Spider Brightflower and a Spirit Condensation Wisdom Skull, but Li Huo and the Fierce Wolf Group arrived and attacked them.
• Ning Chengyi freed the hundred-and-fifty-thousand-year Wisdom Skull and absorbed it, while Bibi Dong used her Rakshasa power to protect him and carry him away from the approaching beast tide.
• Ning Chengyi reached rank twenty, and after Bibi Dong recovered, the two escaped the forest, where Ning Chengyi gained a second Soul Skill and advanced to level twenty-three by absorbing a Black-Armored Spiral Rhino’s Soul Ring.
• Li Huo found his ruined son Li Qiuping and planned to abduct Zhu Qianxun and his wife to draw out Ning Chengyi and Bibi Dong, while the pair decided to return to Small Town.
