Will had no real objection to it. He would have to deal with Voldemort sooner or later. By his reckoning, Voldemort would be resurrected at the end of their fourth year, and even if Will made no attempt to contact him, Voldemort would probably come looking for him.
Besides, whether Snape got involved or not, Will had no way out now. With the Goblet of Fire about to begin, the "spy planted at Hogwarts" was bound to receive orders.
He might as well take the initiative and earn some goodwill from Dumbledore and Snape. That mattered, too. How many people in Hogwarts' history had been free to leave whenever they pleased during term? Privileges weren't handed to you at birth. You had to secure them yourself.
Come to think of it, Old Riddle's grave in Little Hangleton still hadn't been dealt with. Will would have to settle that over the summer.
Will downed a glass of grape juice, washed up, and went straight to sleep. Early the next morning, he headed to the Black family's home.
In the Hospital Wing that morning, Harry slept peacefully, his brow relaxed. His head seemed much better and no longer hurt as badly. When he opened his eyes, he saw Lupin.
"Professor Lupin?" Harry rubbed his head. "Why are you here so early?"
"Harry, lie back down. How's your head?" Lupin hadn't stayed all night. He had simply got up early after Madam Pomfrey had thrown him out.
"Much better. It barely hurts now."
"Kid, here's your medicine." Snape entered with greasy hair and dark circles under his eyes. Harry instinctively felt that Snape was in a foul mood.
Snape gave Lupin a murderous look, leaving Lupin baffled. He didn't stay long, though, and both Harry and Lupin breathed a sigh of relief when
