Though Will had never considered himself particularly powerful, having him use a Time-Turner would certainly be more troublesome than having Barty Crouch Jr. or the others do it.
With a slightly odd expression, he nodded. "Understood."
There were only a few matters to discuss, but they were major ones. Once the two finished talking, Lucius took Skeeter away. Will paid that no mind; he did not think Lucius would have any trouble handling her.
He had to discuss this with Dumbledore—as the saying went, if the sky fell, the tall ones could hold it up. Dumbledore was so tall that he might as well take the strain. Will's own frail frame could not bear it.
An hour later, in the Headmaster's Office, Dumbledore's expression grew serious, and he set down his cake. "Are you certain Tom wants to obtain a Time-Turner?"
"That's the information Lucius brought me. Unless my cover has been blown, it should be genuine."
Dumbledore frowned, something he rarely did, and murmured, "To think Tom has gone this far... Did something go wrong with the ritual? Something involving his father?"
"The ritual?" Will was a little surprised by Dumbledore's words. How did Old Dumbledore seem to know everything...? Had he been toying with Voldemort in the original story? That didn't seem right...
Seeing Will's puzzled expression, Dumbledore assumed he did not understand the ritual and explained:
"Yes. Tom previously instructed you to protect Harry and have him touch the Triwizard Cup, which had already been turned into a Portkey. You were to keep Harry safe throughout. Even then, I had guessed what method Tom intended to use.
"Heh... If he was protecting his own Enemy, then it had to be that Resurrection Ritual. It does suit his style, after all. It is almost the most perfect Resurrection
