"Who's there?" The two Death Eaters heard a cough behind them and spun around, wands trained on Will.
They were nervous. He had come so close before they noticed him. Though he wore a black robe, neither remembered another colleague being stationed here.
"Cough, cough—" Will kept coughing without a word.
"Stop right there, or I'll—"
"Petrificus Totalus. Expelliarmus."
Before the Death Eater could finish, a spell struck him in the head and he fell rigidly to the ground. The other Death Eater's wand flew from his hand and buried itself in the Soft Earth some distance away.
Will glanced at him and held out a black box. "This is what the professor wanted. Give it to him. Cough, cough..."
"Who—who's your professor?" The Death Eater stared at Will, braced for an attack.
"You—cough, cough—call him 'Master.' Don't keep the professor waiting. Hurry—cough, cough, cough—"
Bright red blood sprayed from beneath Will's hood. The Death Eater froze for a moment before he understood.
"Yes. Yes." He nodded quickly, then turned and jogged into the forest.
Once the Death Eater had gone, Will's figure rippled like water and vanished. He did not go far, though. He stayed at Cloud Edge and watched the clearing in the forest. He wanted to see Dumbledore fight Voldemort.
He did not have to wait long before the white-robed old man appeared in the clearing.
Black flames shaped like birds followed one after another. Tiny arrows formed from Dark Magic blotted out the sky, nearly covering the entire forest, until Dumbledore's white ripples dissolved them...
Will watched from above, narrowing his eyes as he studied their magic. Neither man was relying on any single kind of magic. Many of Voldemort's spells were combinations of Dark Magic.
