After class.
Will entered Umbridge's office, his expression dark.
It was just as it had been before, still that garish shade of pink. Poor Professor Binns. Once he got his office back, he would have to clean up the mess the old toad had made of it.
Professor Binns was a ghost, and unlike Peeves, a poltergeist, ghosts couldn't touch physical objects.
"Mr. Behrens, I..."
"Confundus Charm!"
Will didn't wait for Umbridge to finish. He cast the Imperius Curse at once. Since he was a young wizard who wasn't particularly skilled in Dark Magic, it took two seconds for Umbridge's eyes to go blank and the curse to take full control of her.
Will sat back, and a small silver pendant on his robe turned into a patterned silver armchair. He retrieved his book, cast Scourgify several times, and asked her, "What did you want with me?"
"I wanted to ask when you'll have enough evidence to drive Lupin out of the school. I've had enough of being the History of Magic professor, and Minister Fudge wants me to find a way to bring more people in. I need to get this done as soon as possible.
"The minister said the inspection reports won't do much good. He'd rather I damage Dumbledore's reputation. That werewolf is the best place to start."
Will remembered Sylvia mentioning that every professor's inspection report had issues, but Lupin's and Trelawney's had the most.
"Also, I need someone to help me find out who's behind the pranks, but no one wants the job. I wanted you to use your reputation to attract people willing to work for me."
Disgust crossed Will's face. A Memory Charm and a few altered memories wouldn't do much good. Someone like Umbridge would never learn unless he took harsher measures.
